I've got a problem not sure what the hell is going on!

I was using 2 AMD systems and 1 INTEL system

Q6600, 9950 BE, 9850 BE

Other then ofcourse motherboard and case everything is the exact same
Same OS, RAM, HD's, PSU's etc...

The Q6600 is still the same everything and it still seems to some work work other then it was formatted and had Win Vista 64 bit put back on it with all my wifes good stuff lol. Only other change was it was SLI with 2 x BFG 8800 GT OC2 (512MB) now it only has 1!

Anyway I thought I was going the right direction by getting a QX6850 and E8400
to replace the 9950 and 9850.

These 2 systems though when I start running GPU & CPU F@H bog like hell and the E8400 actually becomes almost completely unusable even for basic browsing.

the QX6850 seemed ok at first but I left it on over night with a video card (9800 GTX OCX) in it I recently picked up (games fine tested with L4D and CS:S for bout 3 hours straight lol) anyway I come down in morning and my machine is off and wouldnt boot at all had to really screw around with the cmos to get it to come back up (Asus Maximus Formula II mobo). Once I got it going again tested gaming and it still works fine so what is going on? Why can't I fold anymore? Are these 2 new machines not better then the 9950 and 9850 that I am getting rid of.

Thanks in advance! I'm really dropping in the folding charts for HWC because of this :(

Trayton;
So you swapped out the AMD motherboard and cpus? I am assuming that you did a reinstall OS right?

Sounds like your machine is not as stable as your last one. Folding will expose flaws in a system, often better than gaming will. I would ensure that you have freshly installed drivers, and also check for voltages for your ram and CPU in the BIOS, and remove any OC you have for the time being.

Yup did OS install's, drivers are all fresh as well, havnt seen a hiccup in anything except folding :(

I guess I can try to check voltages and I know my way around a bios somewhat like the regular stuff but a few of these bios are quite advanced :( So everything is on auto (by default) and I just turned off things like floppy drive, and crap which I don't have or have a need for (never oc'ed in my life (YET!) hopefully soon get to try some OCing :)
