You need the GPU client for your video card rather than the SMP client. (It's a hell of a lot more efficient than the CPU one).

Well Geo, you are kinda a HWC folder, as you have been helping some of us on here (I remember you helped me back in October pick my fist folding card, the 9600GSO).

I'm all giddy with excitement! What a fabulous contest and a great way to recruit new members for a worthwhile cause. Thanks goes out to the HWC staff and Asus for bringing us such top shelf prizes!

You download the GPU client here:
Folding@home - DownloadWinOther

Make sure that when you run the GPU2 folding client for the first time, and set things up, in the Advanced Tab you select a different 'Machine ID) from your cpu folding client.

Just so I understand, do you get one entry for every 10000 or 15000 points contributed or only one entry no matter how many multiples of 10K or 15K points generated in the given timeframe?

I know it's not polite to look a potentially "gift horse in the mouth" but if your curious about the video cards up for grabs heres some links. I know they aren't very specific but that just underscores just how rare and new these prizes are.

ASUS Intros the Matrix Series GTX 260 - Graphics card for the enthusiasts - Softpedia

Asus ENGTX285 Ultimate Edition: Overclocked Geforce GTX 285 - Asus ENGTX285 Ultimate Edition, Geforce GTX 285 - PC Games Hardware

Good luck everyone!

Wow. I'm excited about this. I'm like one of 50 in for that GTX260.

/prays to God to win because that'd be a sweet upgrade to the 8800gt that got me in on the draw.

Glad to be part of the team boys. Cheers!

It's limited to one entry / folder who meets the minimum requirements. We had a fairly lengthy discussion on how to hand out the entries and decided that we wanted to give everybody a fair chance to win rather than weighting it towards whoever could throw the most hardware at it for the month.

We chose the 15K minimum with the same mindset. We wanted to give the folks with older gear a chance to make the cut. 15K is nothing for somebody who's folding with a new(er) vid card, but somebody with an older Dual core or an ATI card (like my 3870) is going to have to fold 24/7 for 2 - 3 weeks in order to get in enough PPD to qualify.

Clear off, guys. i7 coming through! That Ultimate is MINE! (Or at least the GTX 265) =P

Just got the CPU F@H working today, cant wait to see how it folds.

If everyone just folds straight up for the next month we can EASILY break 100! C'mon!
