Let's get these facts straight..
I'm better off using the SMP client for my CPU.
I cannot fold with a GTX260 and 9800GT.
I'm not entered for the GTX260.
I wouldn't give up completely on boinc based solely on this particular contest. In fact, if you look at how this contest was set up WRT the GTX260 you probably don't want to go that route on the off chance that future contests are set up in a similar fashion.... :)

Many of us are folding on our GPUs, and boincing on our CPUs. That 260 you already own would put out a ton of PPD, and boincing on 3 cores instead of 4 wouldn't drop your rosetta points by that much. :)

Ok folks, we're going to ask for one more step in the process to make life easier for us when it comes time to administer the contest.......

Since we're expecting some folks to transfer over their existing accounts with other folding teams, it's likely that some FAH usernames will not match up with HWC screen names.

In order to remove any doubt when it comes time to drawing the winning name(s) we're requesting that members who's names don't match up please drop a single line post in this thread Folding At Home / Screen Name mismatch thread so that we can keep track of new users.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. (We'll be putting a link to this in the text of the contest post).

Steve

Awww, what, nothing for us Rosetta crunchers?

Heh, to be expected, F@H seems to be more popular than Rosetta atm. You can't entice me to switch DC programs with your fancy contests. I'm a cruncher, not a folder. The pendulum will swing back one day. Bonic for(CPU) life! Next time, maybe.

Good luck to all those who are participating in this contest!

Heh.... patience, patience..... :)

We focused on FAH for this contest as the "run for 100" seemed to be a perfect fit for our first DC contest.

Rest assured that we haven't forgotten our Rosetta crunchers. :)

Wouldn't be a fair contest then. Not everyone can afford, or have access to many borgable machines.
