I would love to get into the consumer electronics reviewer category (that's my strongest suit) however it can be a little vast...I will try to come up with something though....here's hoping

Anything will do as long as you show your proficiency with the subject you choose. I have a feeling that I will choose more than one person for the CE category...

Hey SKY would it be acceptable to do a review of a product that I wouldn't have much to compare to?

say something like 120mm fans (not really my choice but just an example) I only have some Noctua P12, Antec Tri-cools and my newest little gizmo a Ultra Kaze 3000RPM 133CFM fan

Would a review of these 3 fans be acceptable? or would I need a wider variety for a proper comparison?

Or for example cases...I only have 1 case(modern at least an Antec P182) would I be able to review that?

This is of course hypothetical of course llol still got time to see if I will try out

I did a review once, it's a lot of work and it was just for a fan.

I only read this thread today..so I have to try and squeeze out a review of something which is undecided in 2 days and hope it is good enough to be considered..then of course if all goes well...yes it is a lot of work to provide a detailed and useful review...that's why so much credit is needed to SKY and HWC reviews for being pretty consistently solid in there official reviews.
