I still haven't heard much about the upcoming 55nm 260+ (hopefully in my price range), but there is more buzz about a new 280+ for "very soon" and a 2gb DDR5 GTX 350. On a product list here.

LoL, maybe it's allowed in the rumour mill thread. I have to admit that the stuff on that link don't appear to be all that legit. The InQ has an "article" about the GTX 270 and 290 coming out in November sometime but I only read the InQ articles about nVidia for laughs.

Yeah, take the Inq articles with a mountain of salt ![]() Too bad it's taking so long for my step-Up with EVGA expiring tomorrow so I took the GTX 260 -> GTX 260 core 216 instead.

Finally some juicy gossip about the 55nm die shrink of the 260 & 280 to be now named supposedly the 270 & 290. From theovalich.wordpress (who?) Major power draw reductions, better clocks and overclocking potential. As a bonus (if this becomes reality), they are talking about a release next week. I sure hope this rumour comes true. |

If so I'll be Stepping up both of my 280's....

I'll be right behind you RJ, I just need to get this damn Intel system up and running. Oh and thanks heavens if they rebadged it "GTX290" and "GTX270" its about freaking time we keep some sort sanity when it comes to the naming scheme. EE

The only thing that sucks with the "step-up" Program is the fact you can only "Step-up" to Vanilla Cards...really sucks n bugs me when you purchase higher end as I do...oh well....
