Can't seem to post in the news forum ... ''HEXUS.channel can exclusively confirm that Taiwanese technology company abit, which is associated primarily with high-end and gaming mainboards, will stop producing all mainboards at the end of 2008.'' More here abit exits mainboard market - confirmed :: HEXUS.channel - Essential IT business intelligence

there were good in the 90s then came back for a short stint recently but it'll be sad to see a good company go.

Wow, I never would have expect this but then again Abit has been lacking in the motherboard department lately.

I certainly don't associate Abit with high end and gaming boards... I owned a IP-35 Pro for about 6 months and it wasn't half bad. Nothing compared to the Maximus Formula I'm using now but it was about half of the price. Kind of suprising since I heard pretty good things about their last few boards.

Well the IP35-Pro was a hit.

IP35-Pro was one of the best overclockers in its class and I absolutely proved that with my e8400 and I'd keep it but its time to upgrade :D
