GTX3x0 info exposed?! According to hardspell.com Quote:

Well if there is any truth to this I am not surprised. They have to make something bigger and better eventually. It is unlike nvidia to let somebody else be the king of the hill, and the 4870x2 is expected to take that crown. It would be surprising if they went straight to a 45nm process, you would think the next step would be the 55nm a la 9800gtx+. |
It definitely won't be 45 nm. That's simply TOO MUCH money down the drain, just to move from 55 nm so fast. Honestly going from 65 to 55 nm was not a great idea. There is not that much improvement over those. I think the only reason they're not moving to 45 nm yet was because neither company does not have the technology like Intel does to get down to 45 nm. Graphics cards are so powerful and if they do try to use the same lithography technology they have now on 45 nm, then the power consumption will be rediculous due to extremely high leakage currents. They need to adopt the high-K technology or something else that's out there. But Intel hates nvidia so who knows lol. |
I bet launch prices will be $800+ on this one too........ Winning at all costs is bad for the consumer. |
It'll be interesting to see what they come up with, maybe they'll have Dr Evil doing adds for them selling cards with freaking lasers strapped to there heads next lol. |
Oh yeah? Well the Radeon 5850 coming out in 2 weeks has a billion megs of GDDR20 ram. :D This really looks like a bad rumour, especially the "It will beat the 4870x2" since we haven't seen performance yet. |
Wow The 5850 X16! |

Both companies outsource production to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) and United Microelectronics (UMC). |
No I wasn't aware of that lol. But thanks for letting me know! But still, that would require TSMC to have the technology, right? |
Well I am sure that ATI might release the SUPER RV700!!!! Don don don..... Or in other words a highly overclocked 4870 X2 2gb card. |
