I don't think Nehalem's memory controller is even compatible with DDR2. Early adopters' credit cards are going to have to bite three sticks of DDR3 on top of everything else.

Ugh. I don't know why they went with Triple Channel. Three just looks "odd". They should've spent time on Quad Channel, kind of how like they upgraded from Dual Core to Quad Core. It'll look weird buying a 3x2GB kit.

I cant wait to see some real benches, but I dont think I'll bite the early adopter fee.... It would need to beat my Qx9650 by a very large margin for me to think about it. also, I am not a fan of 300 $ Mobo, even if they are sooo sexy. I think I will wait for something like P55 or something. But still, everytime a new cpu comes out I cant wait to see review.

Umm it's the same exact memory for triple channel, just three sticks not two, so current ddr3 will be fine if you have three sticks of it. And early adopters should be biting 6x1gb of DDR3 if you ask me!

Wow smoking board.....I have to say I was a little disappointed at the Asus Rampage Extreme 2 it looks more like a formula branded product..oh well that Blood Red board looks crazy......literally like eat your face kinda crazy.......seems like they should drop it at Halloween or something I hope it lives up to its specs and looks...Foxconn high end boards have been pretty solid in the past thought so it looks good. ....

You guessed wrong. Intel's X58 Somethingsomething (named after some town in Pennsylvania; Bonetrail successor) is CDN$350, Core i7 920 is CDN$390.
