My System Specs

Default Socket 2011 n Ivy Bridge E 4930k / 4960X

Cool...glad I didnt pull the pin on a 3970X this go around, looks good for possible Sept?

Intel Ivy Bridge-E slated for September 2013 launch - TechSpot

Will be nice to have proper Gen 3 support on the CPU. Hope there will be no issues with my RIVE, just a BIOS update? But what i its an entirely new Chipset...just BIOS update and Chipset install?

not sure what's going on there... a few of those images do not look like they are official intel stuff, but photoshopped...

Pretty much. I am more pleased with the fact that the compatibility is expanded all the way to Haswell-E. I am going to definitely grab the i7 IB-E in September.

I doubt it will be. It may share the same socket but I am willing to bet money it won't be compatible. That is how Intel works.

As for IB-E I won't be upgrading my main machine. No 8-cores, no drop in TDP, and likely won't clock all that much higher (like IB vs SB).

I'll go for it simply for the "proper" built in PCI-E 3.0 Support and higher Memory Speed support, maybe even jump back into the "Extreme Edition"...then again I do have to start thinking about booking Mexico for this upcoming winter ;)

$1000 for a 1-3% increase (if that) in performance? I think I'll pass.

I usually dive into an Extreme Edition Chip every few yrs or so... Although I may just go for the k version this go around, will wait n see how the OC Reviews look.
I'm with you, was hoping to see an 8 Core / 16 Thread Chip (other than Xeon).
