Looks like NVIDIA might release the GK110 core for the "masses" as GeForce Titan...

Seems to be some rumors today about the new Nvidia card being released late Feb.

It absolutely can happen, NVIDIA wouldn't mine some exclusivity, just I'm guessing it's gonna be an another 800-1000$ jewel.

I think, personally speaking it would have by now. They are too far into the cycle to devote the resources to something like this. Although we have seen many papers about what the full GK core is, we were told a long while back by better sources in the industry that it wouldn't come to fruition.

I would love to be wrong on this, but I don't think I am.

So is this card going to be pretty much like the 690 was then other cards based off of it?

This card would be a full utilization of the Kepler (a single core, not a dual gpu as is the 690) architecture just as the GF110 (GTX 580) was the full beans Fermi. But weather and when it'll be released is nothing more than a rumor as of now.

900$ for 85% the power of a 690.. on a single card... damn. so 70%~ more power if it gets SLI'd.... wow. We need dx12 now lmao
