Ironically, all of those articles are based on the same source.

IMO, this would make sense since NVIDIA needs to do something with all the GK110 cores that don't make the cut for Tesla.

Honestly, I would love to see a GTX "685" (not a 'Titan' as that label is a touch....pretentious). Pushing big monitors to 120 fps take a LOT of GPU horsepower and this would be a great way to keep from having to go the SLI route!

I posted a long time ago a rumor about this (though I guess its all still rumor). I think nvidia have really diluted the GTX branding. It would be interesting how this would compare to a 690.

The Nvidia 700 series will be a Kepler refresh, and nothing more. No way on earth will there be a 50% increase in performance. I doubt it will be a 15% increase over the 600 series. The true next gen. Nvidia card won't be here til 2014.

That depends on what NVIDIA calls their GK110 when it is released. Remember, the GTX 680 actually uses an "upper mid range" core so it is completely possible that this supposed "Titan" will offer 50% - 75% more performance than the current Kepler cards.

Damn I can't wait for the next gen to come out... aching to replace that noisy, hot running, power hungry and poorly optimized 6990... and buying a 7970/680 today would be too much of a compromise...

I honestly don't think it will do a thing to the GTX 670 or GTX 680 prices. If anything, any GK110 card would be slotted quite far above those products.
