Damn, I wonder how legit that is. Normally I don't trust numbers till ATI releases them to the public, but god, those are some nice numbers. I'll easily pick one up (after my wallet hangs itself for spending that much) once I see how the baby will run!

A few people around the net are saying that the 4870 X2 will cost under $499 USD (don't know what currency you talk in here) Although, the 4-series naming scheme is very doubtful at the moment.

Yeah, I'm guessing around the price of the 3870X2. At double the speed or so that will be a good deal. (Assuming the rumours are true).

Once again, ATI tries to tell the gaming development community that we don't need TMUs. Once again, the performance will be sketchy and the Crossfire drivers won't come close to what Nvidia SLI can do.

The release is scheduled for June. A single GPU is suppose to be 40% faster than the HD3870, but they are going to need alot more if they want to compete with Nvidia's current lineup for games like Crysis and Call of Duty 4.

I wonder if the current AMD layoffs are going to affect the ATI section of the company.

If these cards come out at less than $400 USD each (the X2s I mean), I am totally prepared to get rid of my 8800GTXs and never go on SLIzone forums again!
