Also, remember all they are doing is announcing the card skus. So that essentially means what cards they are and potentially their cost, not when we'll see them at retailers. Remember BD was announced/priced a lot earlier then when they made it to retailers (*cough* delay *cough)

I have always been a team green guy. That is why I am hoping these bring the prices on GTX 580's down a bit. Really liking the extra vram on these though. I think that may help with my current plan of expanding to three monitors in the near future.

dumb question but will the 7970 be a dual gpu? hard to imagine that they'll cost that much under one gpu.

no they're single gpu, and thats why ill wait a few months for prices to go down to get one

The xx90 (do we call that a suffix?) is usually synonymous with the Dual GPU monkier. In this case it will likely be the 7990.
