I have a feeling we won't have too much to worry about in terms of heat for this generation of Nvidia cards.... With that said, i'm sure there are several of us here that are dying to slap a waterblock on one of these haha.

I don't know a ton about this whole high end technology, but does this smaller fabrication size (28nm vs 40nm) not handle the higher wattage? It seems odd that the wattage is so low on these cards, but I assume that must be for stability?

smaller wires cant handle more wattage. same on chips smaller space between etching / cant have as much wattage. smaller process less power can be used and also less needed. most times.
