Everything I have been reading about MSI lately makes me want to give them another chance. IF this lands soon I may just pick it up instead of a GB ud7. Fugly heatsinks or no.

I have the first one and i love it. I look forward to see some mods done to the xpower II, like replacing those retarded looking heatsinks for motherboard waterblocks. The only thing i really hate is the price (bout 420 euros), and the release date

source: MSI releases second X79 motherboard with 8 DIMMs by VR-Zone.com

EDIT: It will release on jan. 6 of next year

Are there any cheap x79 mobos that are priced similar to MSI GD55/GD65 and have same/similar features but are X79? i want something that will do PCI-E 3.0 x16/x16 SLI

i think the MSI X79A-GD45 Intel X79 is just for you
One of the cheapest you can find(X79 is expensive...)
