Post AMD FX-Series Lineup Revealed

Well, VR-Zone has some progressive info regarding the new AMD desktop FX product line:
"As we move ever closer to the release of AMD's FX-Series, Gigabyte has revealed a CPU compatibility list for its 990FX motherboards, which all but confirms the final FX-Series SKUs. As expected, there will be 8-core, 6-core and 4-core CPUs, with the flagship clocked at 3.6 GHz."

There will be ES units sent to reviewers before launch, so quite likely.

Hmmm... im not as excited as i used to be.

Maybe because i havent seen a real benchmark yet. Everything else is hearsay and rumours.

Can someone explain to me how the wattage affects performance? 'Cause I noticed There's a 95W and a 125W 8120.

the 95W one of the same chip will cost more money. and yes will have more OC room, since it doesn't get as hot right away

interesting, though,if they are the same stepping. could be the hotter one can be as easily downvolted.

or they cherry picked the better chips and labeled them 95 watters.

@evo. for gaming? good choice. for other multithreaded stuff,we'll see ;)
