Every once in a while manufacturers come out with custom cards.

Seems like PowerColor MAY be doing that but we'll see since there has been plenty of times where custom cards like this fail to get into the retail channels.

It says the card will have 2GB total memory. Will that be enough, considering it's actually only 1GB per GPU?

Considering it is Barts, that is all you will need.

Northern Islands (GPU family) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Barts is the family name for the 68xx processors. Basically a variant of the architecture of the 58xx cards

But inferior to 69xx series I presume?

How much faster will this be compared to a 6950?

Foggyb, look up xfire 6850s or 6870s then split the difference and it should give you an idea of what to expect compared with a 6950 single the dual chip should beat it.

Flip through that^^
