Default Test results for AMD's FX Bulldozer

Results of testing for AMD's 8-core processor, the FX Bulldozer

A definite improvement but I expected better results.

well,if you expect more than 25% you'd bite your fingers,usually. :D

also,8 core = 4c/8t or 8c/16t? ;)

Very, VERY misleading chart.

I was expecting some kind of breakthrough at least with the new architecture. I was expecting that the 6 core FX will be on par with the Core i7 2600K and the 8 core FX will be miles ahead of the Core i7 2600K. Bulldozer does not support multithreading and 8 core = 8 threads.

I don't even see the point of having a discrete GPU in the chart as well. Very misleading to just add a discrete GPU to make your bar longer.

That video does not seem to bother AMD very much unlike the 4 videos that recently popped up were pulled down by AMD due to NDA.

Some have claimed that PCMark Vantage does not test beyond 4 cores/threads hence the almost similar score between the 8 core FX and the Core i7 2600K. The Core i3 2100 with 2C/4T produces a score that is not that far behind the Core i7 2600K most probably due to the variation that the Core i7 2600K has bigger cache and higher clock speed.

I'd take this rumor with a grain of salt

No reference to be able to tell... is that a grain or a pound? :)

I'll wait until I see some official results. AMD has been soo closed lipped about this release that I find it extremely hard to believe anything pre-NDA.
