I read the from the link that SKYMTL posted and at the end of it it says that Gigabyte plans to launch a line of AM3+ motherboards powered by current-gen chipsets. what does this mean a bios update on the Gigabyte Motherboards?

I'm not sure it’s worth, as using actual board with Bios update will certainly miss some feature of the new chipset.

Like FUSION? Pritty clutch, and I wont even get in to USB3, Lightpeak or (heaven forbid) Fixed TRIM? Yeah...but it does let you keep your current board and only get a new chip, instead mobo/chip and leaving you with moths in your pocket (HEY INTEL IM LOOKING AT YOU)

I have a feeling that I won't be able to pick up an AM3+ chip into far into Q3...
But there is hope!

So, what I read is :

June 1st Chipset and June 7th the cpus ?

I suppose we will face a paper launch. Your prediction of end Q3, might be real......
