Apparently the latest beta drivers tip off 2 upcoming cards from the green team.

Though... unless the 590 is some type of folding monster, I think I'll stick with single card designs.

I wouldn't think too much of it, even if it is true it might still be a long ways off. Though I could be very wrong.

Nvidia drivers added support/features for many unreleased games in the past, sometimes right before release, sometimes way before, sometimes the game never got released.

if a 550 can be around 190-200$ and outperform a 460 by a little bit, that would be just perfect :)

from what i hear its supposed to be cheaper than that :)
dont think we wont see them in the next 2-4 weeks but you never know :p

Although it technically is a rumor until the product is officially confirmed, I wouldn't consider the 550 a rumor. Anyone not living under a rock basically knew the 550 was coming out within a month or so of the 560 release.

I'm still highly skeptical about this whole GTX 590 and if they do release one, I only expect it to be a 114 chip, not a 110 chip.

Now the only problem is, do I wait, or bite the bullet for a GTX 460 768MB. They can be had for pretty cheap these days, whether they are new or used.

Although with it pulling close performance numbers to a 460 I can somewhat understand the pricing structure.
I don't think it will sell really well @200.
