well it is true they try stuff out, you know, just for 'what if' sakes :)

this way they can keep the teams busy and up to date in the case the aforementioned scenario must

be brought to shelves :)

Default Asus Zeus?

If I had a say in what it would be called I would probably call it Zeus afterall, it should be more powerful that the Ares. but that would be from Asus. who knows, And i'm guessing at least dual 8 pin+ single 6 pin PCI-E power, if not 3X8 pin. not to mention the ultimate toaster. but i'm game if i got the money.

Almost end of Feb and still nothing from both sides, wtf. I just want to buy a one big card and forget about running Crysis/Metro2033 between 14-21 fps once and for all.

Do you play at 2560x1600? Because a 570 at 1920x1200 can run metro 2033 above 40 fps.

lol, I don't have fingers crossed for anything, but we'll see... we do know that ATI/AMD did say they would bring out the dual GPU 6990... but when and what is a little undecided yet... as for nVidia, there is not official, just more rumors.

I get about 40fps or so with my GTX 480 @ 1900 x 1200 full tilt in metro 2033 . Mind you my card is clocked prtty damn high.

Well, it's sort of subjective... full settings doesn't always mean 4x MSAA, could just be AAA.

Also, it depends on if you benchmark based on the hardest in game scene you can find or the benchmark tool. I have not been able to produce frame-rates in game as low as the benchmark tool gets. There is such a grey area between worst performance and performance while playing the game normally.
