Talking planned obsolences

planned obsolences. Thats it, one word. How else would they get us to drool over, then spend our hard earned spendin money. We are at the point now that the advances in the technology is moving at such a pace that I'd have to think the producers of the products are even haveing trouble keeping up, why else would we be inadated with driver updates, and hotfixes and upgrades. Just a thought, I'll get of my soap box now.

I agree the hardware changes so fast that it can take a while to catch up with drivers, patches etc. Especially if you went for vista!!

BTW do you play crysis with your system? If so do you have any tips for getting the SLI GTX's to work with vista 64 etc. My brother has a very similar quad core rig and is having real problems with SLI GTX's, striker MB, vista 64, and Crysis.

Default Crysis

I have it working pretty good now on my system. I have done the latest Nvidia drivers, the Microsoft Hotfixes. This is a good listing of some of them, Vista Forums

DirectX 10.1 is just minor. AFAIK nVidia isn't even going to support it.
