Possible 1155 socket burn? [TechReaction]

[Blog] “Socket burn” is back with Sandy Bridge! | TechREACTION

Just a shot in the dark, it's probably random Q&A issue, but weird!

I believe that was with the Foxxcon sockets, and they it was switched to Lotes.
I'm wondering if it was Foxxcon again on this.

Hey Dan, don't "abuse" that nice hardware...it's not worth it! It's only interesting to see this...seems pretty random, but hey, it's posted in the rumor section after all...

im not kidding, lol. i want to know. dont want the guy to give it a go at clocking and then call me 'oh my god it smoked!!!!!1' .
ill give it 1.4, that should be normal voltage.

gingerbee January 17, 2011 04:07 PM

ya they should be able to do 1.4 for many years with no problems. and finding out now would be better then finding out from a customer who is know pissed off at you and thinks your a tweedle. just my thoughts but cause cash is tight i do not have any new stuff to play with yet. the key word there being yet:haha:
