starting to look more like just the CDMA version, wouldn't make sense to mention iphone 5 now and upset everyone.

I am anxious to see what it is. Like everyone else I guess it is likely just a CDMA iphone 4. I really can't see them spending time or money redoing the iphone 4. If they did, people who bought an iphone 4 would all complain about the reception and try to get the NEW iphone 4 for free.

Only the Version CDMA iPhone 4 so far... I have a feeling that it will turn out that your friend's 'source' was actually talking about the CDMA iPhone 4 and not the iPhone 5...

That's not the only rumor going around for Apple. They're also suppose to be releasing a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone, with a considerably less amount of memory, and it's suppose to be around $200.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about rumors.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about rumors.
Although people are getting good at guess true apple plans, 80% of the rumours are still false. If apple releases this 'smaller cheaper' iPhone, that means that Steve Jobs is officially gone... I cannot see Steve allowing apple to build this device.

I completely agree. He'd lose so much money. Not to mention, the phone would probably suck.

If Apple believes they can successfully target the feature phone market, you can be sure they are going to do it. A small $200 iPhone ($0 under contract, no data plan needed) with good MP3 functionality, very basic apps support, and something else would sell by the tens of millons.

And you can be 100% sure that Jobs was involved every step of the way.

An Apple under $200 not much of a chance as they like to separate their customer from their dosh. Look at the new Mac's hugely overpriced. I don't know why people are buying into Steve's "Walled Garden" especially when all the Market surveyors are saying that the Android steam roller will pass Apple in March or April. Also the iponey 4 is not selling very well compared to the other iphoneys
