Intel and Nvidia make like friends [Ars]

Hot of the press rumor

Potential NVIDIA/Intel settlement could mean good news for Apple

This is gonna make wierd baby for sure?
What happen if we mix both name, Intel + Nvidia = India?

Heh... certainly gives a bit of insight into the incestuous relationship(s) between the different players even when they're in competition with each other. All that was missing from that press release was SLI for AMD chipsets.... ;)

And who's going to smother that baby first, Intel? They don't seem too happy to me.

If Nvidia suffered any lose from the 400 series, then Intel pretty much rectified that situation. LOL.

Wonder if this has anything to do with Intel dropping Larrabee for consumer-applications? No need to shut out nVidia from offering a strong integrated GPU into the chipset now that Intel is not being as aggressive in this area.

I think it the Nforce chipsets could potentially return if this is actually true.

_dangtx_ December 5, 2010 06:11 PM

with the new gpu power built into the cpus themselves nv is feeling the hurt badly. and from what they say sb has even better graphics soooo...as long as it lays hd ppl that buy a cheap notebook or such dont care

Yeah nvidia can make a single fastest card but the mass market is laptops and integrated and nvidia is not king there.
