A preview of two Cooler Master 2011 fans

Turbine Master:

Cooler Master has a 16 blade design with semi/enclosed frame allows for lower RPM with higher CFM. This means better low speed performance without high noise associated with traditional high RPM/high pressure fans. The 800 and 1200 speed versions are recommended for near quiet chassis. An semi open frame allows more airflow and minimizes turbulent sounds.



Note if you install the 1800 RPM version on the Hyper 212+ this is what it will look like


Specifications are below:

• Turbine Master Mach .8: 800 RPM, 35.07 CFM, 13.83 dBA, 0.08A current
• Turbine Master Mach 1.2: 1200RPM, 56.5 CFM, 21.1 dBA, 0.19A current
• Turbine Master Mach 1.8: 1800RPM, 80.3 CFM, 30.5 dBA, 0.38A current

Now thats just dam cool! Can't way to try one of these out! I guess one can't use two of these in a push-pull though, due to the open frame? I cant quite tell from the pictures if the four mounts go above the level of the "cone" of the fan or not, but im guessing no :P

What bearings are going to be in these beautiful bad boys? Hope its FDB!....and not 2B and definitely not 1B1S or sleeved. :)

The engine uses technology Barometric Ball Bearing

Like the ability to remove the blades from the housing.

Ah so basically a newer fancier version of their Excalibur line (BBB bearings, removable fan, etc)! That wont be too bad....though, too bad about about the ball bearing design...fancy name or not a ball bearing design is a ball bearing design...even if they make the ball bearings from dif material than normal.

Was REALLY hoping they would have gone FDB :(

FDB technology are only available through patent holders, one of them being Sony and there are three others. CM is not a patent holder for that yet. We do have Dynaloop which is semi FDB technology available on our Xtraflo fans that are on our V6 series.

By chance do you know how much static pressure these output?
I can see them as being somewhat useful however without a massive amount of pressure like the R4's have, they might be less than ideal for Heatsink, Radiator Work.

Not saying I don't like them, just wondering how to apply them.
