I don't know....AMD 965 is can be had for $188.00 Canadian. Thats a 3.4 ghz Quad core.......so a 6 core.....$320 ish Canadian, makes sense to me.

I want to know what chipsets they will be backwards compatiable with. And what kind of Power delivery the board needs min. to support one.
It will be good if all I need is a BIOS Flash to get these running.

hell i might have to get an amd machine too hex core to play with at those prices but ya like some has already said seems a little to good to be true

Doesn't bigadv have to be minimum 8 cores?

You mean 8 threads, since Core i7 uses 4 cores and 8 threads.

If the hexcores are quick enough, you can probably get away with 6 threads.
