My DQ6 finally started showing its age (runs fine at stock, but won't accept any OC input in bios) so one of these might be the ticket... gonna have to see what's out there for motherboards once they go "live".

I was looking at the 890 boards last night, expected to see the same kind of breakdown as the 790 chipset, but so far have only found "GX" boards with built-in video.

Hey wilson, just a thought but couldn't you just RMA the board? Gigabyte is pretty good with these things usually.

As for prices for these, they seem to be just about right. Wonder much ppd these are going to pull in F@H considering they don't have HT'd cores like the i7s

Ahh, thats quite a while ago, don't want to derail this thread but I think mattlef or somebody posted about them getting warranty service on a board that was out of warranty. Couldn't hurt to at least try.

The 1055T 6 core is only $230 @ Anitec. What a steal!

When I see a BE 6 core for less than $250 I'll have to lock myself in a jail cell not to run out & get one. Kid of overkill for what I will use it for, at least for now, but you gotta love it.

I'm hoping that between 1090T crosshair IV Extreme & Asus Rog Matrix they'll come in under $1000 before tax
