It was EVGA first yes....then XFX did it as well.

I know the reason why to....I have a "source" that worked at EVGA....quit then went to XFX. He is still there happily.

the first card they show at CES do not have the heatpipe, so Charlie was may be right when he said they increase the TDP of 50 watts at the last momment

Well, the current rumour is that the GTX480 has a TDP of 295W, so if that's the case it definitely needs a hell of a heatsink.

new one for you guy, looks like the air will be blow outside the case, and they also include a metal heatsink , and this one will release hot air inside the case

If this stock heat sink is so big already are we gonna see two slot aftermarket coolers effectively making the card three slots wide?

This launch just reminds me more and more of the FX 5xxx series.
