Not that I'm saying this is in fact true, but it certainly is possible that nVidia further delayed the release of the cards since they announced the March 26th date.

I thought they were making a big announcement about Fermi march 26th? For all we know it could be another big deal announcement like the last and this big event on the 26th could once again ben a ruse to get everyone hyped up only for them to disappoint and say the release date announcement will be another time.

As I said months ago....they release when they release...personally I won't be on the band wagon till possibly the summer...theirs absolutely nothing out their my 280 SLI System cannot handle....whatever....you never know though...

Provided they run a bit cooler than my 280's I'll be happy, but certainly not holding my breath....seems all these performance Cards are hot.

....wonder how many folks on here "making noise" will actually bite the bullet and purchase one when they're released if available........

Nope, this time they specifically said that they are releasing the cards on the 26th.

Take it for what its worth, but I doubt it will be delayed. How MANY will be available for purchase on release data...now THAT is the bajillion dollar question! :)~
This article was published 5th March 2010 before the OP news...
Is the latest news on the 16th March 2010 more accurate?

I wouldnt be suprised if they would delay once more.

I don't think it'll be delayed again at this point. But supply will probably make it impossible to find anywhere near the 26th anyway.

Mr Hsun has made a major mistake in a product announcement, a few scant spec were detailed and a card waved in the air and put on a desk. The rumor mills are now alive with stories of Geforce products demise and Nvidia's financial collapse,
First rule of press announcements don't wave around a product unless you are prepared to demonstrate it ( have a look at Intel or Apple's new product announcements). At this announcement what people wanted was a demonstration of the product so it should have been placed on a test setup (with oem card makers and review site journo's present in numbers) and 3d mark 06 ran and then the comparison 5870 ran on the same rig.
Unfortunately Mr Hsun has given the impression to a wide audience that both his and his crew's statements are not very credible.
The only way this impression can be now countered is for the product to be fully demonstrated. (I am Nvidia product user and have owned 2 cards an 8800 ultra and a GTX260 216 core).
Mr Hsun stay away from poker! Your bluff's been called and now you have to put your cards on the table.
Disappointed with Mr Hsun's FERMI announcement. - NVIDIA Forums

so it's about time he show the card no... it's not me who start this negative thing ..it's Hsun himself
