Nvidia 470 vs ATI 5870?

Im pretty sure this is total bogus but thought Id share anyone. Someone might have beatme to it but we'll see.

GTX 470 VS HD 5870 Benchmarks test

They are saying the 5870 is a little faster then the 470 but doesnt look reliable at all.

Seems almost believable considering that the 480 beat the 5870 in that video which had it benchmarked in Unigine or w/e. Unfortunately the other video didn't give any benchmarks for anything in-game. As with all pre-release benchmarks I take this with a grain of salt.

I call huge BS on those numbers, simply due to the fact that there isnt even a picture of the 2 cards to back it up... Ill wait for official sources.

If that is true...( and it is probably not ) ATI have a winner here..but...these number are close looking to some GTX 295 bench we saw at the 5870 release do it?

I, again, will say to take it with a grain of salt, but I will say those could be valid numbers. Based on the nvidia released video of the 5870 vs 480 (where they seemed fairly comparable, but the 480 having much better min fps), I could believe these numbers. We will see in due time.

Of course we will wait and he offical one but I just thought Id share with the community. Me personally I thought the 470 looked a little low but thats just me :)

I thought the GTX295 is faster than the 5870 in most softwares? (Apparently by 5-30% depending on softwares)
So GTX470 is slower than a GTX295?
