So GTX470 is slower than a GTX295?
I would suspect the gtx470 will be slower on some apps vs the 295, just like the 5850 and sometimes 5870 are slower than the 4870x2 on certain apps.

Well it's not hard to find or make legit 5870 benchmarks.

Seriously how do they expect to keep people interested if they have this NDA in place? I understand the need for it but I think Nvidia is going a little too far. There's been hardly ANY benchmarks released. I'd love to buy one or 2 on the 26th but it looks like a pretty big gamble if anything right now.

The NDA is as much in place to keep bitchy editors all getting their reviews up at the same time as it is in place to help keep NVIDIA's market positioning a behind closed doors.

As I said in the GF100 article: why should NVIDIA show their hand before they are ready to launch?

We'll get to the 26th and there will be X amounts of video card available. Demand will most likely be high. My question is , if one doesn't attempt to get one at launch when are those cards going to come around again? Fermi has been hyped for what, 6 months now? I find it hard to buy something that has no benchmarks attached to it. That's all I'm saying. But I do understand where you're coming from.

There will be benchmarks out when the time comes to buy them.

If your the type to purchase on "release day" then you take your chances...if you're like me and can wait a few months:

1. You'll get to see all those Reviews
2. Should be plenty of Stock around.
3. Chance for Drivers to mature.
4. Prices may come down by way of MR's
