Sandy Bridge is Intel's next CPU architecture. It will succeed the Core i3/i5/i7 architecture and is expected some time in 2011.

Some key features of the new bridge can be found in wiki stuff but one must be carefull to verify the credibiity of the source before going for it.

That will give you a fair running start but don't use it beyond the variants stage, as that is where all hell can break loose, as in SSD's.
