Newegg.ca " Shipped from ON, CAN "

Don' know where to post it, but I just order a 640 black from newegg, and the shipment said " Shipped from ON, CAN ". I will know for sure tomorow when I got the tracking, they do not charge Provincial tax ( at least for shipment in Quebec, and charge only the GST, no adding fee. $83.99 for a 640 to the door tax include it's a good price, I see alo they have the Black 500 at $ 59.95 ....

I order often from NewEgg and NCIX , I always found than NewEgg ship faster ( in my case always same day ) , when it was ship from NJ or NY ( don't remember ) I usally get it in 3 days, now from Ontario it will be next day, (and like in that case, for free) but the problem is sometime they ship from california.

You sure it's not just ON, CA? CA = California, ON = Ontario. Yes there's an Ontario in California and UPS has a shipping center there.

My thoughts to but: EggXpert - Newegg.ca Opens Warehouse in Canada

Wonder if they still are going to be UPS exclusive :dots:

I'm trying to figure out what the point in burning money like that is though? Their shipping is already quite fast, and they don't have any cross border charges? I can't quite see the benefit?

Well, it may fix the "shipping" issue for Canadian (especially Ontario) customers, but the bottom line is that, unless they ship Purolator for under 10$ (like when you get 9.99$ air from DirectCanada) and cut their prices by 8% for Ontario residents, they still won't be as attractive as NCIX and DirectCanada.

Cheers!

Unfortunately that is all going the way of the dodo for both sides. BC and ON moving to the HST method

Wasn't aware of that. Now they just need to open up some retail shops in the GTA to compete with Canada Computers. TigerDirect is just terrible so I don't count them. Infonec is fairly small and same goes for the remaining places.

So unless Mississauga, Concord and Blainville , are also in California, Look like I gone have my order Monday, UPS pass around 12:00 , I order it at 1:00 pm Friday, if I donít count the week end , it take less than 24 hours, and it's free. Very good improvement in my case
