You'll find an official statement, as well as pics and performance numbers from nvidia on ATI's launch date.. trust me :) they're going to rain as hard as they can on that parade

Yeah some searches around the nets show that there are working parts out there. A launch (perhaps paper??) is not too far away. I would be surprised if we are not folding with them this Xmas...

I'm really looking forward to ditching the Tri Sli (280's) and going with SLI (3xx's)....should provide for (hopefully) the same performance but less power and heat!!
If the SLI 3xx Series Cards don't provide better performance than the Tri Sli 280's I'll likely pass on them (maybe).... ;)

You really cant compare 2 consoles to 2 video card manufacturers, thats just fail lol. That author shouldnt even be able to run a website, he probably has little to no experience in anything and just likes to make crap up to support his favourites.

ya i know it was a loose comparison. I see it now lol made more sense when I first wrote it. of course that was like 1 a.m. lol i really wish Nvidia would hurry it up though I would much prefer buying a evga card to an xfx. Though i don't have enough patience as my comp now has a p4 and like a 128mb gpu plus my xbox just died and i want to play sumthin. Hopefully ATI will release their cards this tuesday and I can finally get a nice PC. Though if Nvidia made an announcment and said their cards were to be relaesed in a few weeks i'd have to wait

If your that set on an nVidia (Evga) Card get a 260 / 275 / 280 / 285 / 295...get it and step-up to a GTX 3xx Series Card ...you'll have 3 months....by at the end of the month you'll have til the end of Dec..provided the new Card is out by then.

Though, according to Murphy's Law, the very act of buying a card while banking on using the step-up means that it will be delayed.

The popular opinion on "What will NVidia do to counter the release of HD5xxx-series?" seems to be "Powerpoint slides". LOL.
Not mere Powerpoint Slides... but CUDA-Powered Powerpoint Slides!

Maybe Everyone from Nvidia do it No seriously, Even if GT300 are brand new way of making silicon chip, nvidia or ATI wont ship anything they know having 2% of success. Why don't they send a card to some HWC reviewer so we will be able to know it

Ask for more.

lol ya i want to hear more from nvidia before purchasing either manufacturers cards. Hopefully we will hear some news on the nvidia release then i might just buy a 295 and upgrade. With the upgrade program though if i buy a card for 550 then its price drops to 450 and the new card is lets say 650 would i have to pay 200 or 100?
