Pretty cool but 2007 is good enough for me.

I had an older TP for a couple months now

It loads quicker than 2007 and I like the slight UI updates. Also x64 support is always nice.

Even if it was a 'true x64' application, it's an office applications, so there would be no potential benefits as it doesn't need a massive quantity of ressources like you may find in CAD or other various multimedia applications.

It would definitely help for large Excel spreadsheets with tons of calculations that need to be done as data is entered. Might also help for Access (database) too.

And it is true x64 from what I can see. Doesn't show as *32 in task manager. Different setups too.

In my opinion I think Microsoft screwed up after Office 2003 - I miss the good old interface - something is not right in Office 2007 - and yes I know about the skin - I am still using Office XP, and it's more than enough :D

I love the UI in 2007 and looks like it could be even better in 2010! It really simplifies everything. Many of the older users that have used Office XP, 2000 and 2003 will just have to get used to it if they don't like it. It's just like the debate of going from XP to Vista or XP to 7.
