Ask for more.
I wish this will be true soon, then all my systems (or at least my laptops) will be ssd.

Isn't JMicron basically out of business now? I thought their SSD controller was an utter failure

The controller was good until reviewers and benchmarkers found out the problems they were having, and when the Intel/Samsung/Indilinx controllers were released. JMicron is still selling well, albeit at very small marginable profits.

Their new controller should help correct their footprint in the SSD market and allow smaller transistor node technology, which will lower the price of SSDs (namely 34 and 32 nm NAND).

While this is an old thread, Im hopeful the new Sandforce controllers will push the Indilinx bigfoot controller based ssd down in price (and / or Indilinx releasing a bigfoot 2.0 controller). Can you imagine the original Sata 2.0 Vertex line becoming the new Solid line (as SF-1500 and SF-1200 most likely would be enthusiast and mainstream line, pushing the Indi' bigfoot down a peg or three)! Cheaper prices and Good times are on the horizon....hopefully. :)

Ugh, afraid of the JMicron name after the stuttering fiascos. Hopefully they can put a good product out this time and give customers some competition.
