Ah, that sucks. I don't know why intel would release such a chip now, especially with i7 beginning to pick up speed, and i5 soon to be released...

Perhaps they want to scrape what they can from the few OC'ers who are punks with just a bunch of cash for the next few months, come i5?

I really hope they do release it, and a brother chip, perhaps E8800? :)
It would be nice to see the C2D keep itself going a little longer for us.
After all, many of us have grown to Love and admire that little chip!

If they release this, I think a 7GHz SPi1M stable C2D is in sight! 6626MHz is what holds the current 1M record on an E8600, and 6781MHz for CPU-Z.
