Phenom II game benchmarks?

Just stumbled upon this at PCGH, I guess they showed up at xpreview first then got removed but looks fairly promising.

if there are anywhere near that then AMD may be making its come back sooner than most anticipated. However, they look a little too good to be true and will be taken with a truckload of salt

Hey man,

could you tell us if you have a retail chip, and detail your cooling setup, and report back on your overclocking results?

I'd like to get an idea of the percentage of chips that will see over 4Ghz on water.

I'm really hoping to push 4ghz with my watercooled system using sub-zero air to cool the rads ;)

On par with the Intel Quads, seems to be in line with the little taht is curently available. But at this point, what stops intel to again decrease the pricing ? I am a bit afraid of what it will do....

Overclocking so far looks to be under 4Ghz and above 3.5Ghz on air. :thumb:

Sounds like the exact same thing that was said about early hd4000 series cards lol, deju vu anyone?

What i find interesting is that the phenom II wins in crysis warhead and by a fairly big margin in far cry 2, both games that seem heavily cpu dependent, while the i7 wins in the other games which are more gpu intensive. Perhaps this thing really IS on par/better than intels i7 and atm its simply the chipsets holding amd back. Lets face it amds motherboards are not great for gaming compared to intels. If theyre only $300 theres going to be just as much of a cpu battle with price cuts galore as there has been in the gpu industry.
