Default More Intel Price Cuts on July 22nd?

As far as I can tell from the article, these prices are USD and are retail, but who knows- hard to believe they can do this, but I guess they do want to further flood the market before AMD strikes back, to prevent people from going with an AMD platform that could keep them on the green side in the future-even if it costs them a ton.

Sounds right the way you explain it Babr. If price cuts that much, ill getting a Quad core.

Yeah- just two months ago I was sure that I wouldn't be able to afford quad before the architecture changed, but if this happens, it will be a piece of cake.

Wow! I might just pick up a quad core low end and overclock that one. Very nice. I will skip this gen of graphics cards and wait till 3*** or 9*** cards to come out.

Why do you think that Intel's making these offers on their cpu, cuz they now that Amd is gonna come back with something strong...( i hope)
Personally I don't like intel that much, I'm not into the overclock thingy so I choose amd for gaming..

If you're not an overclcoker, there's certainly no mistake in going with AMD right now, and maybe barcelona will draw in the overclockers- could happen, especially now that Intel seems to be binning so efficiently. It's starting to be that you actually get what you pay for, hehe, no more 4.0GHz e64xx

If those prices hold then WOW!
At that kind of price on a superior product Intel might be attempting to kill AMD and go for... monopoly
A before OC 3Ghz C2D for $300 cdn
