so unless im reading this wrong the i3 doesn't have onboard video? Because that's sort of the point of the AMD APU.

I'm not sure what you are reading but it has video onboard. all Core i3's have video.

the test setup looks like they are using video cards instead of the onboard which is why I question the entire review. From everything I have read about the intel onboard video it doesn't hold a stick to the AMD APU's. If it isn't gonna be a nascar test review then it isn't a review in my humble opinion.

Rocking one in my WHS 2011 box. Overkill??? Yes! But got a good deal and plan to move it in awhile. So far has been a good chip.

They are using both : Gaming section is where the games are played at high resolution and the CPU is paired with a discrete graphics card and IGP Gaming is where the integrated GPU is used at much lower settings.
So, when paired with a decent graphics card this cpu is producing at least 90% of the frame rates produced by a core i5 while costing only 75% of the price of an i5! Talk about value right there : you can pair this cpu with a sub 100$ mobo, and even with a 400$ cpu on top you get an excellent gaming system under 1000$ that will get 8GB of RAM a nice SSD and a good PSU and case. No need for over the top configurations when gaming is involved.
