As the title states if you are interested. Supposedly getting lower clocks and higher temps on the majority of CPUs than the test samples.

Yeah, no.

I've had retail and ES chips. Both performed the same.

From whats said it seems to be retailers that build oc systems (there are 2 main ones in the UK, OCUK and Scan) they deal with large numbers of chips..
Not saying that there is fiddling going on but as always there can be large differences in batches or chip to chip.
Could just be a specific batch that was shipped to UK / Europe which means they are getting consistently worse results than the samples they received.

Performance ok, but what about temperatures? I mean you didn't have temps in the review so I am already curious about those. Not saying there is anything to this report, just wondering about the temps.

Again with this being reported from the UK I would suspect a "bad" batch for them / Europe.. Which really sucks for them considering how much they pay over the US on components.

With 4 of them all reporting the same thing I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Could have very well been a bad batch. Just thought it was a potentially interesting tidbit of info.

Good to hear you didn't have these issues.

From what I have read on OCN it's the same deal as ivy. Cheap tim/no solder. Delid is in order to get nice temps.

Guys,i'm really curious about that, why the same chips don't perform the same? the laser that cut them cut the silicium a micro meter thicker or what?

SKYMTL,your chips performed the same but it is true that some chips perform better for unknown reasons, right?
