Default Supercom the End of a Great Canadian Company

“Well the end of a great era as Supercom Canada is acquired by Synnex Canada. Thanks to all of our customers for their years of loyalty and support. Hope we can get you all on board at Synnex.”

A statement from Richard John (District Sales Manager at Supercom Canada LTD) this morning on Linkedin.

I used to work at Supercom for co-op, my supervisor and most of the people I knew from the RMA department were laid off a few years back. Sad to see the company finally go, fortunately it's only Supercom Canada.

Supercom was good.. but their selection started to die off and they weren't much better in terms of pricing than Synnex.

This could spell bad news for Quebec computer retailers. From a distribution standpoint, Supercom has pretty much been the only guy in town for years now.

This is very true but Supercoms customer service has always been amazing to me but so has Synnex so there is no big difference for either in my mind and talked to people on both teams and everyone still has jobs for 6 more months plus before they merger is final

Some inside info on this is, many of the supercom locations will stay open with the Synnex offices in the area shutting down as Supercom has almost always got the better locations, buildings and staffing. Richmond they are all moving into the Supercom site in the coming year.
