| Hexus will soon be reviewing this case and the p182 -- This one is quite large and has 140mm fans, TWO PSU's, and pre-prepared watercooling holes in the back- and many other pretty neat features- still resembles the p180 though. "Fresh on the heels of our coverage of the new P182 we bring you its bigger brother. The P190 is the same height as the P182 but slightly wider and much deeper, featuring a re-designed power chamber containing the two power supplies included as standard. These are 650W and 550W watt units. " More from Hexus

That's a pretty nice case, but when I saw the two PSU's I was like

Cable management is fine in the p180 if you know how to do it- and in that price range, there's nothing wrong with it- it's no lian li or stacker, but it's also half the price.

I hated the Antec P180 so much, it's the current crap case sitting on my desk. Can't wait to get rid of it, hate it so much. So seeing them reuse that horrible design of the P180 just makes me wonder if they ever looked at all the problems with the P180. Will be happy when the Silverstone TJ09 arrives from DirectCanada. |

What do you recommend for a case in the 120-150 price range- and what do you own?

I think that the Antec Nine-Hundred seems to be a good value case, for the price, and would do great as a gaming case. But really for high-end cases, you are looking at Silverstone, Lian-Li, and CoolerMaster Stacker cases. Thermaltake makes some good cases, especially for water cooling, and I'd also recommend the new Gigabyte case, which has a lot of good features. But the Antec P180, and the P190 from the looks of it, just suck. The P180 has some good features, but the front door sucks, the side panels don't fit the best, and it's rather cramped inside for it's size. Not to mention the stupid partition between the PSU and the mobo area. But it's just a really cramped case, not enough room. I doubt an 8800 GTX would fit properly inside. |
