Look at the reviews now and they show a retail box and it is listed at 95w and the three reviews I have read says it runs real hot when over clocking even with a corsair 100 at 4.6g it get up to 85c.

Engineering samples are engineering samples they arent the same as what you buy in store. Same architecture with a smallersmaller wafer should mean cooler temps... anything but higher temps anyways.

I have seen reviews and threads where they apparently run very hot.

Pretty "average" as it's not that much better than Sandy Bridge. Temps are sky high. Skip to the last couple pages.

Core I5 3570K arrives Tuesday - AnandTech Forums

Tough to say, his idle temp was 34-40c. 71 in SuperPi at 1.44v seems fine given his ambient/idle.

What I found more interesting was the steppings listed. E0 ?! Considering B steppings retail a lot of the time, to go through 2 more major steppings, not counting minor revisions in between has me wondering whats up...

Maybe that Ivy Bridge 'delay' wasnt a marketing tactic as we though originally, after all?
