With Thailand experiencing its worst flooding in generations, component manufacturers have been especially hard hit. The trickle down effect is having a huge impact upon hard drive manufacturers in particular.

I was hoping to see a little bit of a drop on 2TB drives before I grabbed the last one I needed. Guess that's not happening anymore.

I saw a post about this last night on the NCIX forums from Esther. I was thinking about taking down my RAID0 and just getting another 2TB drive but NOPE not for a while anyways.

Definitely going to hold off for a a couple of months before getting the new hard drive I have been planning.

Actually, if I were you guys I would hunt down the best deals right now (and I mean RIGHT NOW) and grab some drives before things get worse.

MemEx has a sign on the door (and I think something on the web) limiting to 2HD's per purchase, since about the beginning this week Haven't looked for price incr. yet, but glad I grabbed mine a couple weeks back.
