More patent infringement cases

I know that THG isn't the most reliable or popular of sites, but saw this over there. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/pat...ent,13726.html

Acer, Dell and a couple of others involved in this one.

Now, when you have a company you don't need R&D team but a very good group of lawyer. lol

MacJunky October 17, 2011 07:12 PM

I should patent the concept of patent trolling!

JMCD October 17, 2011 07:12 PM

This shit is getting out of hand.

SKYMTL October 17, 2011 07:41 PM

Until the US overhauls their idiotic patent system, this shit will continue.

i heard on CNN that Samsung was sueing to stop sales of the IPhone 4s in Japan and Australia. The patent goofiness is going to spew allover the planet with these huge pissing contests allowed to play out.

Ya, they are both playing "who flung poo". Apple started with Samsung saying they stole the "feel" of the IPhone, then Sumsung retaliated, no it is just degenerating quickly. Lawyers must just love this stuff.

Yes we do love this.... :)

Now why do peeps keep repeating that the patent system is broken? It works marvelously! The incentive for doing R&D is exactly because you can patent it and obtain some kind of market exclusivity based on the patent laws. Without such an incentive, how in the hell would companies invest $$$ into R&D?
