Purported Bulldozer ES Benchmarks

Saw this on the net the other day. B1 stepping chip thats at 3.2 Ghz....Turbo Core 2 takes it 3.6 ghz with all cores, or 4.2 ghz with half the cores active. Screenshots on the original site show it as an FX-8130.

like i said the other day, flame wars already started. hope ppl on this forum show more respect,as they usually do :)

but but..those numbers are not that bad for an es...:)

LarkStarr July 12, 2011 02:15 PM

Not that bad? If those numbers are true, Intel is going to have a problem.

But I'll wait for some real retail samples.

_dangtx_ July 12, 2011 02:36 PM

oh,they already had a problem the moment the apu's started shipping to oem's :D

as for the desktop and server cpus(16 cores....yummy) well have to see

going back to the apus.what would you chose? say price was the same. intel+hdgraphics or the new amd apus that

kill them in gaming? :)

LarkStarr July 12, 2011 02:54 PM

the apu's are slightly different though.

for the purpose of an HTPC or a light gaming rig then yeah I'd hit up AMD's fusion at the moment.

_dangtx_ July 12, 2011 03:03 PM

it should offer killer gaming performance in cheap laptops

PerryC July 12, 2011 03:16 PM

I tend to not pay attention to benchmarks, making my purchases more on the "will it do I want?" principle. However, knowing that this is an ES chip of a stepping that AMD didn't want to release because clocking issues I figured I would put the link up.

The numbers showing there are interesting, and I am looking forward to seeing the perfomance of a release chip.

Intel you mad? maybe soon lololol?

terrybear July 13, 2011 04:34 AM

Well based on the what 2 leaked ES's of the cpu of whatever stepping, the chips look like they will be in that 4-5 ghz range & dare I said its plausable to believe maybe mid 5.x ghz range if that. Either way 8 cores/threads @ 4 Ghz+ is gonna rock anything threaded games, encoding, torrenting & ect.
