Oh well. I mean, I have only even turned the TV on and tried to see what is on three times so far this year and every single time the first thing I see are fuckin commercials on both channels!! This happened last year too. Trying once or twice per month, the TV actually gets no other use now that I have a PCI-E HD&SD capture card for my PC.. though there are some VHS tapes with various recorded shows collected over the years.. A few years ago I counted em and came to the conclusion that we had roughly 500. I could be watching those I guess. >_>
So anyway, I sit there waiting and occasionally switching between the two channels we get and it seems like forever only to discover that once both channels return to their shows at about the same time...... It is complete mind numbing SHIT. Then I turn the TV off and go do something else.
Forty-eight (48) areas will be affected by the digital television transition. These are:
Just so we're clear, if you still have cable your TV works right?
If you have an Analog tv CRT. You may need a new converter box to get the new signal.
Digital over the air is 1080 i.
Analog stations even on Cable will disapear moastly also.
The cable company will swich to carrying the digital signals also.
If you already can recieve HD signals on your tv then no wories.
Any Tv sold after 2007 in the states was supposed to have digital tuner in it.
the interesting part is 'supposed' :)
Digital over the air in Ottawa is 1080i on all the stations that I get with rabbit ears.
Signal when I get it is clear as a bell. but when signal is bad its no good. ( black screen and a little memo saying no signal )
