Default GPU Delay - 40 - 32 -28 Mn [PcPer]

I don't know if you had the chance to read this, but I find it quite interesting on the 32 mn problems and the GPU for the next year. A really nice read. In this light, if you can find a relatively well priced used ''older'' generation, might be a good move.

Ouch. Guess we'll all have to wait and see how things play out.

32nm have really been a PITA and no 28nm in 2011 would be a major hold back

Might keep my HD5870 and 1680 X 1050 monitor combo until all the good stuff comes out!
With all the console ports on the market right now, until the PS4/XBOX 720 (or whatever it's gonna be called), there is not a lot of incentives to upgrade anything. There won't be great games coming out until the consoles get a boost of performance...

With one card, even my goldie-oldie Q9550 is good enough...

I fear some re-branding of existing designs are in order (from both camps).

I didn't read the article, but TSMC struggled to deliver 40nm GPUs like a year or two ago remember?

Or was that for CPUs....

Well, TSMC fail to deliver 40NM for CPU and they fail to make a good fermi yield because of their poor expertise with the dye size...It took over a years before fermi really came out at what it was suppose to be ( 580 )

It took 6 months for the revision.

TSMC had issues when ATI's 5000 series came out.

Looking at the roadmaps, seems like Nvidia is going to rebrand stuff until Keppler comes out in 2013.

AMD is probably going to do the same.

So time to make these 4xx and 5xx cards last if you're on the Green team :-p
